Experience the Tale of the Noble Spirits

The black swordsman, Kirito, will forge his destiny once more in yet another tale of the noble spirits. Sword Art Online Alicization Rising Steel is a role-playing game from Bandai Namco based on the popular anime series, Sword Art Online. In this game, your beloved characters are back in the Underworld to face the mightiest of foes. It is based on the Alicization arc of the SAO anime, but there are also new exclusive contents. Relive your favorite SAO moments and engage in spectacular anime-like battles. This game is made for the SAO fan in you.

Back to the Underworld

Just like the first SAO game titles, Sword Art Online Alicization Rising Steel will feature Kirito, the anime’s main protagonist. In this game, Kirito awoke in the Underworld one day. There, he met a woodcutter named Eugeo, as well as many other residents of the Underworld. This moment of connection will challenge the very rules that govern the world, and battles will ensue.

As the title suggests, Sword Art Online Alicization Rising Steel will feature the Alicization arc of the anime series. But what the fans would really love to know is that the game will also include exclusive content from the creators of the series. As per the developers, this addition of new content will result in the retelling of the arc, including a mixture of visual novels, anime, and a new original story.

The game also promises to bring flashy battles that are representative of the anime itself. The battles will focus on more on-screen flamboyant effects, with the characters using a variety of sword skills and flashy incarnation techniques. There will also be multiple skills to master and different elements and effects that players need to learn.

Speaking of characters, players and fans will be happy to know that you will not be limited to those found in the Alicization arc. You will also come across characters from across the history of the series, including those from arcs from Sword Art Online, Alfheim Online, and Gun Gale Online. With this, you will have more heroes to add to your party.

Needs More Polishing

Sword Art Online Alicization Rising Steel is a great game that offers fun turn-based RPG gameplay. The story is really interesting and the game displays awesome graphics that we usually don’t see in mobile games. It also features amazing voice acting, making it feel like you are watching the series. However, it still not that polished. For one, downloading new content after every battle takes ages. You need to have a whole lot of patience when you update the content—not only because the download is so slow, but because it gets stuck most of the time. It also doesn’t help that you sometimes get a black screen whenever you reach the end of the chapter. The movement on the map also tends to be buggy at times, and the game sometimes crashes.

Live your SAO Dreams

All in all, Sword Art Online Alicization Rising Steel is a good game for the fans of the series. It offers fresh execution even though the mechanics are very similar to most JRPG. It is also very faithful to the Alicization Arc, so you can still follow the story while you’re playing. However, there are still caveats in the game that requires patience for you to enjoy your gaming. But, if you are an avid fan, a few drawbacks shouldn’t hurt.
